Subject Overview:

Students undertake a study of concepts and practice in second language teaching and learning, with the emphasis on developing teachers as reflective practitioners, capable of fostering in their students communicative competence in a new language, and making the experience of language learning an educational one. Students will be introduced to texts and materials commonly used in primary schools, and will be taught a range of techniques for employing them.

Assessment: Assignments totalling 4000 words or equivalent.
