Subject Overview:

This subject will explore the role of teachers in supporting learning and development for young children and will examine the relationship between learning, play, and the role of the teacher including speaking with children, supporting behaviour and planning routines and environments. Students will extend the use of observation and record keeping for the development of play-based learning strategies for infants and toddlers. This subject will develop linkages with Teaching and Professional Practice 1B.
