Course Overview:

The postgraduate certificate provides an entry point to an articulated structure of higher degree study and may qualify graduates for entry to the postgraduate diploma.

Objectives: Students who complete the postgraduate certificate should be able to:
  • demonstrate a general understanding of public policy in the contemporary world;
  • demonstrate a general understanding of key concepts and issues involved in public policy; contact applied study of policy issues and demonstrate general skills of policy analysis and critique.

Entry Requirements:

The minimum entry requirement is:

  • an undergraduate degree with a major in political science or cognate discipline with a grade average of H2B (70%) or equivalent in the major.
Core Participation Requirements:
