Students enrolled in this subject will be required to produce an original piece of work of approximately 12 000 words length on a topic in professional ethics. Topics may include conceptual investigations into the foundations of professional ethics, as well as discussions of particular ethically problematic issues. Individual thesis topics will be the result of negotiation between students and teaching staff. Students will be required to demonstrate the capacity to identify and critically engage with the relevant literature and to produce a coherent and well-argued piece reflecting this engagement.
