Dr M EwingSubject Overview: | This is an intensive subject for beginners developing the skills necessary to speak, read, write and understand Indonesian. Students learn basic vocabulary and sentence construction which enable them to express themselves in a limited range of everyday communicative situations, and are introduced to aspects of Indonesian culture. |

Assessment: | Written work and class tests totalling 1500 words 60% (throughout the semester), a 2-hour written examination 30% and a short oral examination 10% (due during the examination period). Students are required to attend a minimum of 80% of all classes in order to be eligible to take the examination. |
