Course Overview:

The graduate certificate provides students with a general understanding of key concepts and issues in ancient and medieval studies. Students undertaking this short and concentrated program of study develop valuable skills of analysis and critique.

Objectives:

Students who complete the graduate certificate should:

  • demonstrate a knowledge of one or more areas in the study of ancient and medieval studies;
  • understand the main theories and concepts relating to these areas of study;
  • appreciate the significance of these ideas and issues in the context of ancient and medieval studies as a discipline;
  • develop skills of analysis in relation to specific areas of ancient and medieval studies.
Course Structure & Available Subjects:
  • a maximum of one first year subject
  • a minimum of three second/third and/or third/fourth year subjects

Total 50 points - subjects are 12.5 points each, unless indicated otherwise.
