Subject Overview: |
This subject is designed to advance the student’s knowledge and skill in the assessment and management of orthopaedic conditions commonly encountered in physiotherapist led orthopaedic outpatient clinics. Students will gain an understanding of the structure, normal function and pathologic dysfunction of the musculoskeletal system, and gain skills in performing a comprehensive musculoskeletal screening examination for children. The subject is intended to provide the student with the necessary understanding to formulate evaluative clinical decisions in the assessment and management of paediatric orthopaedic conditions. Students will have an opportunity to observe physiotherapist led outpatient clinics. |
