Assessment: |
Students who play orchestral instruments are expected to participate in MCM ensembles and you should talk to the head of your instrument area to determine which MCM ensemble you will participate in. You may also be required to participate in other activities in your instrument area, check with your head of instrument. Students who are enrolled in Ensemble subjects as part of their Master of Music by Research (Music Performance) are required to submit details of their ensemble activities on or before the Monday of week 3 of the semester in which they are planning their ensemble enrolment. Music Performance students who enrol in the Ensemble elective are expected to participate in an Ensemble which rehearses and performs at a Masters level. Ensembles must be approved by the MCM Director. You are required to submit a confirmation of rehearsals, repertoire and performances declaration at the end of May (Semester 1) or October (Semester 2). Assessment is on the basis of satisfactory attendance and participation (30%); and rehearsal and performance of a program of major work as approved by the co-ordinator/s (70%). Assessment is on a pass/fail basis. |
