Subject Overview: |
This subject builds on the skills developed in semester one and will focus around dramatic narrative styles, storytelling and metaphor, both formally and informally, improvised and prepared. Students will explore styles and forms from Indigenous and non-indigenous perspectives through a range of stimuli including literature, art, music and performance. In the exploration of these ideas they will experiment with different theatrical ways to represent ideas such as: Forum theatre. This will lead to an advanced level of communication skills in improvisation, confident spontaneity in front of a group, developing assertiveness when negotiating ideas and different perspectives, responsibility to the ensemble, and organisational skills building to a performance. |
