Subject Overview:

This subject is about the application of economic analysis to public choices about alternative resource uses.
Learning Outcomes:

On completion of this subject students will understand:

  • Principles underlying agricultural and natural resource economic policies
  • Principles and practice of social benefit cost analysis of agricultural resource uses
  • Principles governing the operation of agricultural value chains
Assessment:
  • One 2000 word assignment due during Semester worth 30%
  • One three-hour exam to be held during the end-of-semester exam period worth 70%
