Learning Outcomes:

Students who complete the Graduate Diploma in Arts (Advanced) in this area of specialisation should:

  • complete the equivalent of fourth year honours with a research component and obtain a recognised qualifaction;
  • obtain an adequate basis for pursuing advanced studies in Australian Indigenous studies at Master or PhD level;
  • develop a specialist understanding of a specific area of study; and
  • develop a capacity for independent research in Australian Indigenous studies.
Structure & Available Subjects:

Duration: 1 year full-time / 2 years part-time

The Graduate Diploma in Arts (Advanced) in this area of specialisation requires:

  • one compulsory subject (12.5 points)
  • thesis subject (50 points)
  • three Australian Indigenous Studies core subjects (37.5 points)

Total 100 points
