Overview: |
Currently, there is no pure honours program in Russian. This means that students must combine fourth-year honours in Russian with another program in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Melbourne. The honours program in Russian comprises advanced coursework and an individual research project designed to extend students' knowledge and skills in one specific field of Russian studies (such as Russian linguistics, Russian literary studies or Russian cultural studies). After successfully completing the program, students will have gained considerable practical skills such as research skills, report writing skills, presentation and communication skills, language skills and cultural awareness. The prerequisites for entry to Russian honours are completion of all the requirements for the BA, completion of a major in Russian and an average of at least H2B (70%) in second and third-year subjects within the major, or equivalent. |
