Subject Overview: |
This subject will cover the philosophy, management and practice of delivering commercially astute Alliance Contracts. The subject will contextualise the dynamics of the Australian construction industry and then improve understanding of the techniques, mind sets and attitudes people require to successfully deliver projects using the alliance approach. The course seeks to build skills such that participants can pro-actively manage alliances in a commercially sensitive manner such that value is maximized for all stakeholders as part of the process. The overall theme of the subject is to help participants ask the right questions during an alliance contract such that they understand the boundaries of commercial reality, how to preserve the public interest, and enhance the management of these agreements such that there is an improved ability to withstand public scrutiny. The target audience for the course includes everyone involved in alliancing team – e.g. as project manager, engineer or a commercial person. |
