Time Commitment: Contact Hours: Approximately 20 hours of individual supervision sessions, as negotiated with the appointed supervisor over the duration of the research project.

Research based subject which requires a total amount of 240 hours commitment.

Prerequisites:

To enrol in this subject, you must be admitted in The Master of Clinical Research. This subject is not available for students admitted in any other courses

Subject Overview:

Research areas relating to clinical research will be chosen after consultation between the student, the coordinator and the sponsoring organisation.

Learning Outcomes:

At the end of this subject, clinicians should be able to undertake a small clinical research project with limited collaborative input and be able to report their findings.

Assessment:

Two presentations (20 per cent each) and a research project between 4000 and 6000 words (60 per cent). An examiner external to the University of Melbourne selected by the Course Coordinator will mark the research project.
