Subject Overview:

Topics covering most important telecommunication standards (both in operation and under planning) in greater depth and detail.

Learning Outcomes:

The aim of this subject is to give students an introduction to the architecture of modern communication networks with greater emphasis on industry standards and protocols.

Assessment:
  • Continuous assessment of homework assignments, not exceeding 30 pages in total over the semester, requiring 50-55 hours of work in total (40%)
  • Final examination at the end of semester (60%)

Hurdle requirement: Students must pass the final exam in order to pass the subject.
