Learning Outcomes:

Students who complete the Graduate Diploma in Arts (Advanced) in this area of specialisation should:

  • read a wide range of materials in Chinese;
  • apply their understanding of these materials to the study of China;
  • demonstrate a familiarity with research methods commonly employed in Sinology and Chinese studies.
Structure & Available Subjects:

Duration: 1 year full-time / 2 years part-time

The Graduate Diploma in Arts (Advanced) in this area of specialisation requires:

  • thesis subject (50 points)
  • three compulsory subjects (37.5 points)
  • one elective subject (12.5 points)

Total 100 points

Please note: the thesis must be taken over two consecutive semesters
