Subject Overview:

The student will provide evidence of having met this goal by presenting a portfolio or minor dissertation made up of a preface and a single project report. PLEASE NOTE: Adequate supervisory arrangements must be in place before students commence this subject. Students wishing to complete the Masters degree should discuss options for WPP with the course coordinator.

Learning Outcomes:

The aim of this subject is that the student gains practical experience, usually in a workplace setting, in the application of knowledge and skills learnt during the coursework of the Master of Biostatistics program, under supervision of an experienced biostatistician.

Assessment:

Portfolio or minor dissertation (approximately 5,000 words) to be marked by two examiners, at least one of whom will be internal to the University of Melbourne.
