Time Commitment: | Contact Hours: 24 hours Total Time Commitment: 1 contact hour per week, 1 online hour per week, 7 additional hours per week. Total 9 hours per week. Attendance at all classes (tutorial/seminars/practical classes/lectures/labs/online classes) is obligatory. Failure to attend 80% of classes will normally result in failure in the subject. |

This subject aims to help students develop a better understanding of grammar and its place in second language learning and teaching. The subject covers such areas as word classes, tense and aspect and various types of sentence structures. It will also introduce students to discourse level features of language. |
