Economics The Department of Economics in the Faculty of Business and Economics offer a 112.5-point major and 75-point minor in the BA. Students intending to major in Economics should note that Mathematical Methods is a prerequisite for this program. Introductory Microeconomics must be completed before entering Introductory Macroeconomics, Level Two Intermediate Macroeconomics and Intermediate Microeconomics. Students who undertake a major in Economics will complete 112.5 points with 37.5 points taken as Arts discipline subjects, 75 points taken as breadth. Students intending to complete a major in Economics should refer to the sample course plans on the Bachelor of Arts web pages. Students intending to complete a major complete 75 points of core Economics subjects taken as breadth. |
Subject Options: | Economics: Level 1 SubjectsStudents completing a Economics major in the BA must complete 37.50 points at level 1 from the list of subjects below. Students completing a minor must complete Introductory Microeconomics and Introductory Macroeconomics.
