This course is no longer taking applications, the course structure below applies to re-enrolling students who commenced their studies prior to 2008. Information for course B-Arts can be found at the following: https://handbook.unimelb.edu.au/ German has more than 100 million native speakers and is the third most popular foreign language world-wide. A knowledge of German opens up the rich culture of German-speaking Europe as well as its history, philosophy, literature, music and scientific traditions. The German Studies Program has a proud history of more than half a century at the University of Melbourne and provides students with the opportunity to complete part of their studies overseas through scholarships and exchange programs. |

Subject Options: | GERMAN 1 ENTRY POINT (formerly Beginners Stream):German 1 entry point - Level 1Students completing a German major with a German 1 entry point are required to complete the following Level 1 subjects (25 points). Subject Study Period Commencement: Credit Points: German 1 entry point - Level 2Students completing the German major with a German 1 entry point are required to complete the following Level 2 subjects (37.5 points). Subject Study Period Commencement: Credit Points: German 1 entry point - Level 3Students completing the German major with a German 1 entry point are required to complete the following Level 3 subjects (37.5 points). Subject Study Period Commencement: Credit Points: GERMAN 3 ENTRY POINT (formerly Intermediate Stream):German 3 entry point - Level 1Students completing the German major with a German 3 entry point are required to complete the following Level 1 subjects (25 points).
