Subject Overview: |
In consultation with relevant staff, students will negotiate a period of attachment (secondment) to a theatre company, film company, dance company or other suitable organisation or professional practitioner. The subject provides the student with an opportunity, within a professional environment, to test and develop skills learnt over Years 1 and 2 of the course while also becoming part of the professional network. The secondment can be undertaken full time for a specific period or for an equivalent number of hours spread over a longer period. Two secondments making up the required time are preferred but not essential. The secondment should be in a related field to the two modules studied in Production Skills 2A. |

It also provides a valuable opportunity to develop professional networks.
