An international overview of how different governments approach QA in tertiary education, including key concepts, the roles of QA agencies, the use of standards and measures and processes such as self-assessment and external review. |

Objectives: |
To present to participants the various approaches to external quality assurance used internationally; illustrate these with case studies; consider strengths and weaknesses and highlight emerging challenges for national QA systems and QA agencies in a context of cross-border tertiary education and moves for greater mutual recognition of tertiary qualifications.

• Active participation in weekly discussion board (4 x 250 word postings); This is a pass/fail subject. Participants receive feedback for each task, and must pass all tasks. |
