Subject Overview: |
This subject builds on the knowledge and skills learnt in Paediatric Orthopaedic Physiotherapy 1. It provides the opportunity for students to acquire specialised knowledge and skills by further developing their level of clinical reasoning and clinical competency in the management of orthopaedic conditions. The subject focuses on providing students with ‘hands on’ clinical experience in an orthopaedic outpatient department under supervision. Placements include The Royal Children's Hospital, Monash Medical Centre, Sunshine Hospital and Geelong Hospital. Students will also further their knowledge in the management of fractures, spinal conditions and pharmacology. |
