Time Commitment: | Contact Hours: 36 hours of seminars (intensive) Classes:Thursday 28 February - all day; Friday 1 March - all day; Wednesday 6, 13, 20, 27 March - 3 hour seminars; Saturday 13 April - all day. The exam will take place no later than 8 May 2013 Total Time Commitment: 144 hours per semester, including self directed study/research. |

Subject Overview: |
This subject will provide students with the theoretical knowledge and practical 'know-how' that will help equip them to undertake an advanced management or marketing research project. Subject matter will include: the nature of the research process; an introduction to the epistemology of research; how to produce a literature review; how to design a research project; and, the principles of quantitative and qualitative research. |

This subject will be taught in intensive mode: two or three full days of seminars in the week before semester one begins, one three-hour seminar each week for the next five weeks of semester, and possibly another full day seminar in the fourth week of semester.
