Subject Overview:

Lectures and workshops which further develop skills and principles learned in Actor Direction 1. Students are given the opportunity to work directing actors in a supervised workshop environment.
Objectives:

On completion of this subject students should be able to

  • demonstrate a develping ability to direct actors;
  • demonstrate script analysis work in breaking down direction for actors.
Assessment:

Assessment is continuous and based on the following: Practical direction exercise(s) (70%); Participation* in workshops and crewing and collaboration on actor director exercises (30%). Participation* assessed on criteria of engagement, ability to discuss and give/receive feedback and teamwork skills. For this subject there is an 80% attendance hurdle for workshops, classes and lectures.
