This English Language specialisation is part of Master of Applied Linguistics.

English Language specialisation

Coursework only

  • four core subjects (50 points) (one undergraduate core subject in the first 100 points for the program, at least one graduate core subject from List A and at least two graduate core subjects from List B)
  • twelve elective subjects (150 points) ( up to three which can be undergraduate subjects which must be taken in the first 100 points of the program)

OR Coursework and Minor Thesis

  • four core subjects (50 points) (one undergraduate core subject in the first 100 points for the program, at least one graduate core subject from List A and at least two graduate core subjects from List B)
  • ten elective subjects (125 points) (up to three which can be undergraduate subjects which must be taken in the first 100 points of the program)
  • Minor Thesis (25 points)

Students taking LING 90010 Minor Thesis should have completed or be concurrently enrolled in LING90003 Research in Applied Linguistics.
