Subject Overview: |
Through the design and making of a piece of furniture, students will develop an understanding of furniture types, the design of furniture in architectural space, the qualities of timber as a material, and working practice for manufacture. Students will be guided through the process of production scale models, drawings, quantities, test pieces and the making of a prototype. |
