Time Commitment: | Contact Hours: Up to 15 hours of intensive rehearsal leading to concert performance, one 2-hour audition workshop Total Time Commitment: Contact as above plus sustained practice/rehearsal time, in consultation with the coordinator. | ||||||||||||
Prerequisites: | Permission of the coordinator, based on a 30 minute audition of prescribed repertoire. | ||||||||||||

Subject Overview: |
Students will develop performance skills neccessary to perform ensemble and orchestral repertoire selected from 17th to 21st centuries, through closed workshops and public performance and sitting 'side-by-side' with colleagues from major professional ensembles, under prefessional preparation and performance conditions. Students will work with and learn from professional musicians of the highest artistic stature. |

Assessment: |
Satisfactory attendance and participation in all rehearsals, classes, workshops and performances as directed (100%). Assessment is on a Pass-Fail basis. Less than 80% attendance will result in a fail. |
