The minimum level of performance required for this ensemble would be equivalent to AMEB grade 8 or a very high grade for VCE solo performance. An audition may be required. | ||||||||||||

The Symphony Orchestra plays an extremely important role in the performance activities of the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. Students selected to play in the Orchestra gain invaluable experience through performance of works from the symphonic, choral and concerto repertoires under the guidance of guest conductors who appear with the orchestra each year. |
