Subject Overview: |
This subject examines historic and contemporary garden design styles and their influence on the Australian context. Processes and principles behind contemporary garden design are outlined in conjunction with the creation of a garden design portfolio assignment. Guest lecturers will include successful practitioners in the field. Management issues relating to large gardens such as a Botanic or National Trust Garden are explored through guest lecturer and site visits. |

A Research & Presentation Project due prior to mid semester - 40%, a design portfolio due at the end of semester - 40%, and a report due post mid semester - 20% |
