Subject Overview:

A thesis of 12,000 words. Topic selected in consultation with the fourth-year coordinator. This subject must taken over two consecutive semesters of enrolment.

Objectives: Students who have successfully completed this subjects should:
  • have gained increased powers of independent inquiry.
  • show initiative in self-directed research.
  • have an increased inderstanding of an area of Australian Studies not previously studied or advanced understanding of an area of already established knowledge.
Assessment: A thesis of 12 000 words 100% (due at the end of the second semester of enrolment).
Prescribed Texts:

Texts will be decided in consultation with the thesis supervisor.
