Course Overview: | The purpose of the Professional Certificate in Organisational Improvement is to provide a general burst mode program for professional managers and others wishing to achieve a high level of proficiency (‘widely known as ‘black belt’) in the philosophy, tools and techniques of Six Sigma business improvement procedures. Six Sigma procedures involve the rigorous analyses of business improvement opportunities and their investigation, followed by specific organisational interventions and initiatives. Six Sigma is a body of knowledge that is founded on the fields of statistics, process control and the psychology of organisational change and human resource management, with important applications to organisational development. |

Graduates of the Professional Certificate in Organisational Improvement will demonstrate the following attributes at a masters level.

Course Structure & Available Subjects: | The program involves a 4-week intensive delivery of coursework, followed by assessable work that needs to be completed no more than 4 months after coursework delivery is completed. Students will be required to successfully complete all assessable work to accumulate a total of 25 points to receive the award. |

Further Study: | Successful completion of this program will provide students with the equivalent of two 12.5 point subject credits to the 100 point Master of Enterprise (Executive) program. The credit would be in the form of exemptions to the subjects Quantitative Analysis for Managerial Decisions and Production and Operations Management. |
