Subject Overview: |
This subject encourages students to explore their ideas using a range of processes and to access digital and moving image resources. Students determine the nature of their practice under the critical guidance of tutorial staff. Theory is introduced with an assignment component designed to pose conceptual problems. Students are required to develop a critical language through which their work can be articulated to the tutorial group. Students are required to access via group discussion, slide talks and gallery excursions, a comprehensive knowledge of national and international contemporary art practice. |

Assessment: |
Assessment is based on a substantial body of work featuring resolved images/installations and elaborate documentation of installations. An ideas book developed throughout the semester which has evidence of the processes explored in the development of submitted works, important reference materials, documentation from tutorials including a summary of your outside tutorial and technical data which you consider relevant. A selection of assigned work. (100%). |
