Subject Overview: |
In this subject students begin to address the issues and aesthetic problems raised through sustained periods of practical and critical investigation. This is carried out through discussion and studio practice: in class situations/group tutorials, individual tutorials, and in private studio time. Through consultation with lecturers and in classes, students explore a number of extended projects that can operate as conceptual starting points for their own studio practice in Drawing Studies 3. Participation in life drawing classes, slide talks, excursions, and departmental exhibitions is required as a continuation of this process. Students at all levels are encouraged to expand upon manual and technical skills and media possibilities relevant to their individual area of study within the drawing course. |
