Subject Overview:

Students will further explore individual movement qualities, the manipulation of movement phrases, choreographic processes and structures. The emphasis in this subject is on exploring site-specific work.
Objectives:

On completion of this subject, students should be able to

  • devise their own creative projects reflecting clear intentions
  • develop a personal movement vocabulary and its organisation in space/time;
  • explore, manipulate and extend choreographic phrases;
  • conceptualise and devise site specific choreographic work.
Assessment:

Participation and contribution to course work including satisfactory presentation of set choreographic tasks (70%); Written assignments and logbooks totalling no more than 2000 words (30%). Hurdle requirement - 80% attendance
