Objectives: |
Students undertake clinical rotations and extramural work. Clinical rotations are as described in VETS40006 Professional Practice 1. Extramural work between teaching periods and between clinical years consists of four weeks during the holiday periods of third and final year in the Veterinary Hospital, including an out-of-hours component and additional attendance as directed by clinicians; twelve weeks of approved extramural work with an academic associate of the faculty, or other approved experience during the third and final years; and one week of dairy practice at one of the faculty-approved rural locations. |
Assessment: | Clinical rotations (60%), multiple-choice questions (30%) and one 15-minute oral examinations (10%). |
