Subject Overview: | This course explores the nature, analysis, formulation, financing and implementation of social welfare policy (both 'grand' and 'ordinary') with particular attention to the roles of advanced practitioners in policy analysis and development, and challenges to the profession in maintaining a voice in the policy domain. Consideration is given to the alliances and channels advanced practitioners need to develop in order to link practice experience with policy initiative. |
