Subject Overview:	note: Melbourne Consulting and Custom Programs is not currently accepting new enrolments into this subject. This subject deals with the principles of successful delivery of projects through the Public Private Partnerships (PPP) procurement method. The course will discuss the application of the PPP mechanism both in Australia and internationally through, where appropriate, the review of relevant case studies. Specific content will deal with typical PPP processes, identification of appropriate projects for PPP, project definition and output specifications, public interest test, value for money, evaluation processes, commercial considerations, risk identification, allocation and management, the tendering and bid evaluation process, contracts and contract administration.
Objectives:	Students who successfully complete this subject should: • Understand the workings and application of Public Private Partnerships • Have acquired expertise associated with aspects of Public Private Partnerships in areas such as: project definition and output specifications, public interest test, risk management, contracts and contract management.
Assessment:	Two tests of one-hour (10 per cent each) or equivalent, One assignment of 2000 words (30 per cent), and Final two-hour examination (50 per cent)
