Subject Overview: | A thesis of 15,000 words will be completed under appropriate academic supervision. Students are required to develop a research project in the field of social sciences and health. The thesis may be an empirical study which may employ qualitative or quantitative methods, or a theoretical project. Students will be guided through the key milestones of the research process. These will include skills in completion of critical literature review, presentation of a research proposal, thesis writing, presentation of key findings, and discussion of the relevance of the findings in relation to future research, policy and practice. |
