Subject Overview: |
Web applications are complex software systems that require a formal engineering approach. This subject introduces the formal methodology as well as the tools and technologies required to develop and implement applications for the Web. Students will explore issues in the specification, implementation and operation of web applications that will facilitate future development of applications for the Web. |

Assessment: |
Individual participation and contribution to workshops (20%) throughout the semester; a group assignment (30%) involving practical application of tools and technologies in the context of Web applications which should take no longer than 20 hours and is due in week 12; a two-hour written examination in the examination period (50%). |
