Students should complete the subject with an enriched knowledge of the language through the use of modern Hebrew literature, of the modern idiom spoken in Israel today, including its vocabulary, grammar and syntax. The subject should prepare students for a broader range of expertise. |

Assessment: | Written essays totalling 2000 words throughout semester 40%, a ten-minute oral exam 10% and a 2 hour written examination 50% at the end of semester. |
