Subject Overview: This subject will involve the study of:
  • The work of seminal psychologists

  • The psychological development of children and adolescents

  • Intelligence and learning

  • Social and environmental factors effecting childhood development

  • Personality and creativity

  • The recognised stages of growth, motor, emotional and cognitive development, and the implications for appropriate skills development in dance

Objectives:

Assessment: Participation in tutorials (20%); assignments totalling no more than 2,000 words (80%).
