Subject Overview: | Students will commence the semester observing content, methodology and teaching strategies in classes taught be facility members. Classes will include Contemporary Technique, Improvisation, Duo Work and Dance Making classes and encompass both the VCA Secondary School and Bachelor Program. Students will then progress to team teaching and then individual teaching practice. Teaching practice will occur at the VCA School of Dance and/or in community contexts. |

Assessment: | Teaching observation summary 800 words (15%); reflective paper 1,000 words (15%); progress made in team and individual teaching of a small series of classes (50%); formal teaching assessment class (20%). |
