This subject is a continuation of Chinese 5A. It involves advanced spoken and written Chinese. Students will read a variety of extracts from Modern Chinese and improve their writing and speaking skills. |

Assessment: |
A 1-hour composition test 20% (mid-semester), a 10-minute oral examination 10% (during the examination period), a 2-hour examination 60% (during the examination period), ongoing class work 5% and ongoing class participation 5%. Class attendance is required for this subject; if you do not attend a minimum of 80% of classes without an approved exemption you will not be eligible for a pass in this subject. Assessment submitted late without an approved extension will be penalised at 10% per day. In-class tasks missed without approval will not be marked. All pieces of written work must be submitted to pass this subject. |
