Subject Overview: |
This subject will introduce students to past and current policies relating to the arts and cultural policy in Australia and Victoria, and analyse arts policy development. The subject will also examine the development of arts policy organisations of federal, state and local governments and compare these to similar organisations overseas. |

Objectives: |

Assessment: | An essay of 500 words 20% (due early semester), a group project and seminar presentation of 2000 words 40% (due late semester) and an essay of 2500 words 40% (due at the end of semester). Students are required to attend a minimum of 80% of classes in order to qualify to have their written work assessed. All required written work must be submitted in order to pass the subject. |
