Course Overview:

Objectives: To:
  • Further develop technical and creative skills and understanding;

  • Develop understanding and use of theoretical frameworks to evaluate and critique puppetry in performance;

  • As a puppeteer, whether writing, designing, making or performing, develop capacity to evaluate, discriminate and make informed choices within both a pragmatic and artistic framework

  • Develop abilities to collaborate

  • Promote the exploration of puppetry as a communicative mode

  • Explore the potentials of diverse media in puppetry

Entry Requirements: An undergraduate degree and the Postgraduate Diploma in Puppetry with at least H2B (70%) or equivalent; or an undergraduate degree and at least 3 years documented, relevant, professional experience.
