Note: Melbourne Consulting and Custom Programs is not currently accepting new enrolments for this course. This course will appeal to individuals (usually sponsored by their employer) who already have practical experience in the technology commercialisation area such as scientists, engineers, medical researchers, information science specialists, biotechnologists etc., but who wish to undertake formal training and enhance their skills. It is also possible for organisations to negotiate client-specific offerings of the course. |

Objectives: |
Students who successfully complete the Graduate Certificate will: a) Understand the knowledge and processes to commercialise new technologies, products and services and the relationship of these processes with the broader external environment b) Exhibit analytic and problem-solving skills that apply research and academic frameworks to practical situations, resulting in enhanced business planning skills and capabilities c) Appreciate how to create and acquire knowledge about commercialisation, in particular the processes and pathways to securing project finance and enhanced knowledge in business strategy, its components and success factors d) Understand the requirements of a proof of concept process and/or system and what is required to write a business and/or product development plan for the commercialisation of a new technology that can be applied in the workplace e) Work cooperatively in groups f) Demonstrate independent and critical thought and articulate knowledge through an applied major project completed under supervision in the workplace |
Course Structure & Available Subjects: | To satisfy the requirements of the Graduate Certificate in Commercialisation, students must complete a lot of 50 points. |

Entry Requirements: | An undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification plus at least two years full-time relevant documented professional work experience. Students are able to enrol in the Graduate Certificate in Commercialisation award in the following ways: After successful completion of the Professional Certificate in Commercialisation |
