Time Commitment: | Contact Hours: On Campus Delivery - One 2-hour seminar per week and individual consultation time as required, plus up to 3 days per week in a facility approved by the School of Music throughout the semester. Blended Learning Delivery - Up to 3 days per week in a facility approved by the School of Music throughout the semester. 7 hours tutorials (on one day) twice per semester at the intensive study weekends (14 hours) and individual consultation time as required. Subject Overview: |
This subject extends the work undertaken in Minor Thesis (Music Therapy) 1. Clinical Placements will be undertaken independently in a facility nominated by the School of Music, unless otherwise negotiated. Students will implement the research project designed in Semester 1 and evaluate outcomes of the clinical work using either qualitative or quantitative paradigms. Tutorials will develop skills in the implementation of the project, data collection and evaluation, as well as development of appropriate writing and research skills. |

Assessment: | A 15,000-word thesis comprising literature review, method, results and discussion, due at the end of semester (80%); clinical training assessment, completed by supervisor (20%). |
