Subject Overview: |
This subject follows on from Indonesian Level 2A, further consolidating students" acquired Indonesian language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing), and expanding students" knowledge of Indonesia"s cultures and societies. On completion of the subject students should be able to hold simple conversations in Indonesian about a variety of topics. Students should also be able to read general newspaper articles and simple short stories in Indonesian with the help of a dictionary and to write informal letters and short essays. |

Assessment: | Three tests 30% (early semester, mid-semester and late semester), an essay of 1000 words 10% (due late semester), oral examination 10% (due during the examination period) and a 2-hour final written examination 50% (due during the examination period). Students are required to attend a minimum of 80% of all classes in order to be eligible to take the examination. |
