| Subject Overview: |
This is a post-elementary subject in Chinese. By the end of this subject students should know 750 Chinese characters and should have a good grasp of basic grammatical structures as well as furthering their knowledge of Chinese cultural practices. |

| Assessment: | A 1-hour written exam 30% (examination period), mid-semester test 10%, a composition test 10% (last week of semester), regular vocabulary tests 10% (ongoing), 10-minute oral test 20% (examination period) and 30-minute listening comprehension test 20% (examination period). |
